Unfortunately, it seems like the torso failed to bond correctly about halfway through model and has a split in it. I may try and repair it / bend it as an exercise, but this is one downside of larger prints. If I reprint it, I will print just the torso (arm came out fine anyways) to reduce resin usage per layer and try to do it without pausing. I have successfully paused and started a print before, and that may not have been the root issue here either, but just something to think about. - Bending this split from print back together was pretty easy. I used the heat gun like usual. It took a little longer to get it heated enough to bend, but once it was there with a little pressure it closed the gap. I had to hold it longer than usual as well for it to cool off and went to cold running water, but it worked. Over the following night it slightly opened up again, but not much. I used milliput to fill it after that and will see if it holds together. - Vasoline really doesn't do what they claim for me. I'm not sure why. I slathered it on pretty heavily and milliput still stuck to the wrong side. Maybe I didn't add enough "around the edges" and putty crept out of bounds a little bit. It makes little sense because it was at least 95% vasoline coverage on torso and 0% on arm, yet milliput stuck to torso. I need to find a new technique ## Lessons Learned - **Avoid pausing a large print to refill resin.** When printing large objects, arrange the job so it does not need a mid-print refill; this may mean not filling the build plate with other items when the total job exceeds the vat's resin capacity. #lesson/printing ## Related Notes - [[Model Metadata and Tags]]
